Food
Yes! You can’t go to the Fair without feeding your face! There’s everything from burgers to pizza to Italian sausages with peppers and onions, to turkey legs, and more. Don’t forget dessert! Just eat it like a meal if you’d like. Funnel Cakes, Fried Oreos, Candy Apples, Cotton Candy, and who knows what else will be the new fad this year.
Livestock Shows
Don’t miss our Livestock Shows held in the Livestock Shelter located south of the Grandstand.
- Hogs Thursday, September 26 at 6 PM
- Goats Friday, September 27 at 6 PM
- Lambs Saturday, September 28 at Noon
- Beef Heifers and Steers Sunday, September 29 at 1 PM.
- Horse Shows are Thursday Oct 3 at 5:30 PM.
- Chicken Show Tuesday, Oct 1 at 5:30 PM (in the Livestock Barn)
Amusement Rides and Games
Powers Great American Midways has been thrilling audiences since 1980 with rides that will make your hair stand up. They also have slower rides for the less adventurous and kiddie rides for the little ones. You may also want to test your skills and luck on the many games they have to offer. You will find PGAM staff to be a courteous team providing wholesome fun and entertainment.
Demolition Derby
The Demolition Derby is always a crowd favorite. It will be held Saturday, October 5 at 12:00 Noon in the Grandstand. You will see drivers smash their cars and try to win trophies and cash.
Live Music & Shows
There’s a lot of good entertainment if you want to relax and enjoy a good show.
- Brad Matchett, “Comedy Hypnotist” will be performing daily under the Pavilion.
- Agricadabra will be giving you agricultural magic daily at the Pavilion.
- Ember Fire Arts is back doing unbelievable things with fire under the Pavilion.
- A new act, Hog Diggidy Dog, will being doing all kinds of neat things with animals at Center Stage.
- The last four days Rock-it the Robot, a 9 feet gentle giant, will be strolling the grounds.
- Sunday afternoon you can enjoy Carolina the Band performing gospel and country music.

It just wouldn’t be a FAIR without some good Educational Contests:
- Queen of the Fair Contest is on opening night, Thursday, Sept 26 at 7 PM.
- Math, Carpentry, and HOSA Spelling is Monday, September 30 at 5:30 PM.
- Pie Baking will be Tuesday, October 1 at Noon.
- Livestock Skillathon is Tuesday, October 1 at 4:30 PM.
- Cheerleading Contest is Wednesday, October 2 at 5 PM.
- Talent Contests are Wednesday, October 2 (Grades K-5)
- and Thursday, October 3 (Grades 6-12) beginning at 4:30 PM.
- Tractor Operators Contest is Thursday, October 3 at 4 PM,
- Drafting Contest is Thursday, October 3 at 5:30 PM.
- Science Contest is Friday, October 4 at 5:30 PM
